Who it is for

• A services contract or offer, an incorporated company or an investment project
• Sufficient funds and accommodation
• A qualification or membership of a professional body where the profession is regulated

Documents

A basic preparation list. The competent authority creates the personal checklist based on citizenship and place of application.

• A valid passport and copies of its pages
• A completed application form and recent photographs
• A services contract or company documents, the business plan, investment funds and professional authorisations
• Proof of funds, accommodation and health insurance — where required
• A police clearance certificate, medical documents, translation and legalisation — if listed for the chosen category

Application steps

4. 4After arrival, open the activity and obtain the residence permit

After arrival

• Open the activity at Finanças
• Obtain the NIF and NISS and complete your social security registration
• File with AIMA and carry on a demonstrable activity
