Who it is for
- Admission to a recognised university on a suitable programme
- Funding through a blocked account, a scholarship or a sponsor's undertaking
- Command of the language of instruction at the level the university requires
Documents
A basic preparation list. The competent authority creates the personal checklist based on citizenship and place of application.
- A valid passport and copies of its pages
- A completed application form and recent photographs
- Proof of admission, funding and the language of instruction
- Proof of funds, accommodation and health insurance — where required
- A police clearance certificate, medical documents, translation and legalisation — if listed for the chosen category
Application steps

- 4Collect the student residence permit after arrival
After arrival
- Register your address and confirm your insurance
- Keep within the permitted employment limit
- After graduation you may request up to 18 months to look for skilled work
