Who it is for
- An employment or professional relationship with a foreign company
- The company has genuinely operated for at least the required period and the relationship is evidenced
- Qualification or experience, sufficient income, and social and health coverage
Documents
A basic preparation list. The competent authority creates the personal checklist based on citizenship and place of application.
- A valid passport and copies of its pages
- A completed application form and recent photographs
- Contracts, permission to work remotely from Spain, company details, qualification or experience and proof of income
- Proof of funds, accommodation and health insurance — where required
- A police clearance certificate, medical documents, translation and legalisation — if listed for the chosen category
Application steps
- 1Check your employment format and whether Spanish clients are allowed
- 2Gather corporate, professional and financial evidence
- 3Apply for the visa or the UGE permit
- 4After the decision, arrange the TIE and your tax and social security matters
After arrival
- Collect the TIE where applicable
- Establish your tax residence with a specialist
- Maintain the declared working relationship and insurance coverage
