What you need to know
Which density should I choose?
300 dpi is enough for a print shop. 600 dpi is used when the photo is printed larger or extra detail is required.
Does this replace a photographer?
No. The service crops an existing photo to the required size, but it does not judge pose, lighting or facial expression — those requirements are checked by the authority receiving your application.
What happens to the background?
Transparency is filled with white so that it does not turn black in JPEG. A coloured background in the original photo stays as it is — shoot against a light background from the start.
